Wrestle Circus: Big Top Revival

By Nicholas Grooms

By the time this story meets your eyes, one of the most prominent independent wrestling organizations in the state of Texas will have thrilled audiences with yet another blockbuster event worthy of the price of admission. Headlined with a championship bout that will see Scorpio Sky defend his “Ringmaster Championship” against the red hot Tessa Blanchard, the Austin based “Wrestle Circus” promotion promises you satisfaction or “Your money back”!! Seriously…no strings attached, Wrestle Circus believes so strongly in the quality of their product, they are offering fans a full refund if they are dissatisfied with the show.

On June 11th, Wrestle Circus owner and promoter Al Lenhart took to Twitter to voice his displeasure for having paid to attend the June 3rd WWE RAW event, in which many audience members overpaid for a dismal wrestling product and took to the internet to voice their lament. In conjunction with his June 23rd show, Lenhart offered anyone who has attended a Texas or Oklahoma WWE event in recent months the opportunity to try out Wrestle Circus, promising a one hundred percent refund if they were to attend and leave dissatisfied. With a stacked card from top to bottom, featuring a range of well established independent talent and a wealth of young up and comers, I would be surprised if even a single dollar is refunded at the end of the night. Past Wrestle Circus shows have boasted such talents as Keith Lee, Kyle O’ Reilly, Bobby Fish, Brian Cage and a deep pool of other names now touted in larger promotions.

In addition to Scorpio Sky vs. Tessa Blanchard headliner, the card boasts an “NWA National Championship” bout that will see indie circuit hero Colt Cabana defending his title against veteran Colin Delaney. Other notable bouts include Orange Cassidy taking on Peter Avalon, Wrestle Circus Sideshow Champion “Gentleman” Jervis defending against Sami Callihan and appearances by Scarlett Bordeaux, Private Party, Teddy Hart, Myron Reed, Aerostar and many, many more. Wrestle Circus is an amazing promotion other in the indies should take notes on. With appreciation and product expectations at the forefront, you are always assured to get the best possible show underneath the “big top.”
