Undisputed British Cruiserweight Championship

El Phantasmo Vs. Ryusuke Taguchi

Durning Best of the Super Juniors, El Phantasmo would thrive on his way to the end of the tournament. Differences would be known, and confidence would be shown during one of the most widespread tournaments known around the world. ELP would reach close to the finals. However, Ryusuke Taguchi would stand in the way. Some say it was arrogance that caused ELP to underestimate his opponent, others would say that Taguchi was not on the same completive level as the Undisputed British Cruiserweight Champion.

Ryusuke Taguchi would then take ELP out of the advantage of being in the finals of the tournament by taking the win away from him. ELP would state this a fluke and he was lucky. El Phantasmo would gain a second championship but this was not enough to sooth the ego of the champion.  A challenge would be issued for the Revpro Undisputed Cruiserweight belt at Taguchi’s home.

El Phantasmo would retain in 24 minutes 04 seconds in less than half the time limit of the match with a CR2.

7th Match 60 Minute Time Limit

RevPro British Heavyweight Championship match | G1 Climax 29 Entry Spot

Zack Sabre Jr. Vs. Yoshi-Hashi

ZSJ is known for targeting the weaknesses of his opponents. He is a submission expert known all around the world. No one can deny that he is far above several in-ring competitors.  He stated and feels he above Yoshi and looks forward to making him tap out.

Yoshi-Hashi remained positive stating he is confident that fate can be changed.

Quote  NJPW

“If you’re so confident, how about this? If I take your title, then I take your spot in the G1 as well!’ Never before has a G1 Climax entry been put on the line in a match. Could YOSHI-HASHI do the unthinkable and secure entry to the toughest tournament in wrestling by unseating the record three times Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion? In the challenger’s words, it only takes an instant.” – NJPW

Zack Sabre Junior retains by submission in 23 minutes 03 seconds
